GPT-4 is old news: ChatGPT Code Interpreter plugin is redefining AI tech

OpenAI's AI-powered chatbot, ChatGPT, has been causing a stir since its launch in November 2022. Its impressive capabilities have sparked an AI race among the world's largest tech companies. While tech giants are striving to create the most innovative AI technology, developers worldwide are exploring new ways to use ChatGPT, which is currently powered by OpenAI's powerful GPT-4 large language model.

Recently, OpenAI announced its latest plugin, the ChatGPT code interpreter, along with an array of other plugins. The code interpreter is a boon for developers and those testing new use cases of the AI chatbot, offering file uploading and downloading capabilities, color extraction from images to create a palette.png, data analysis, data visualization, converting files across formats, and solving mathematical problems, both qualitative and quantitative.

The code interpreter plugin provides ChatGPT with a working Python interpreter in a sandboxed environment, allowing it to perform basic video editing, convert GIFs into longer MP4 videos into slow zoom, and render animated GIFs from scratch within seconds. It can also extract a user's music taste from their Spotify playlist and analyze Bitcoin datasets.

The plugin's biggest advantage is its ability to make entirely new workflows effortless and efficient. OpenAI has not yet announced a date for the wider rollout of ChatGPT plugins, but it seems it will happen soon.
